Access to Company Employment (ACE)

The Access to Company Employment is a training and social service of UPLIFT, primarily targeting the dependents of our partners although it is not limited to them. ACE Program complements the holistic approach of UPLIFT on addressing the manifold problems of poverty in the country. Above all, ACE seeks to help individuals who are looking for jobs in the formal sector through its core services.

  Core Services

The ACE program is anchored on the following services:

Personal Effectiveness and Job-Hunting Skills Enhancement Training
A two-day training geared towards skills development of its beneficiaries focusing on topics such as personal effectiveness, job-hunting skills and others. The training will make use of methodologies such as Lecture-discussions, Structured Learning Experiences (SLEs), Individual and Small Group Exercises, and Simulations.

Job Vacancy Information (Job Leads)
After the training, ACE beneficiaries will have access to job leads, a compilation of job vacancies gathered from ACE contact companies and other sources.

Free Access to Facilities and Materials
All beneficiaries are allowed to use ACE equipment such as telephones (for job inquiry and follow-up) and computers (for resume preparation and typing practice sessions). Other materials available to them are updated classified ads, yellow pages, maps, and road guides.

Job Counseling
Problems encountered while applying for a job can be discussed through an individual counseling or through a group meeting. Related problems affecting job-hunting of beneficiaries may also be discussed during the counseling/meeting.

Other Services
ACE also helps young beneficiaries who plan to go back to school either in formal setting or vocational training. This is done through linkages, referrals, and networking with other universities and vocational schools. Another activity that ACE is spearheading is the ACE Fair (job fair) conducted every year to provide bigger opportunities to its beneficiaries in finding a job.

  Who are Qualified as Beneficiaries?

ACE caters to young adults ages 16-28 years old. They must be residing in depressed urban communities where UPLIFT is operating. They should also be physically and mentally fit and willing to be trained. Our beneficiaries are expected to have the determination to find a job, be responsible and know the value of work.

To become a beneficiary, an applicant is required to attend the orientation and submit the following:
• Completely accomplished Application Form
• Parent/Guardian Support Letter
• Barangay Clearance
• 1x1 ID Picture

If you know a potential ACE beneficiary, please contact us.
